Looking for easy ways to decorate for the Fourth of July Holiday? Here are the only two things you need to have a beautiful patriotic home.
Oh friend – I am so excited!
Why?
For starters, I am still so thrilled about this home decorating post that was published on Club 31 Women this past week.
And also?
I am so excited because our family is temporarily swapping our sideline seats on the lacrosse field for a sandy seaside seat along the coast line!
We are at the beach!
Enjoying our favorite home away from home!
And while we are escaping to our favorite beach place for a few days?
We are actually coming home to celebrate the Fourth of July in our hometown.
Because?
Our girls are excited to be in our small town Independence Day parade, along with my Mom, who holds a leadership role in our town.
I have written before HERE about how just a little packing to prep for a getaway out of town, somehow always winds up with me cleaning the entire house and organizing all the things.
Maybe it’s just me?
But, I really do love to come home to a clean house after a vacation or quick out of town trip.
And in this short trip to the beach situation?
I wanted to come home to a clean and patriotically decorated home, so we can roll right into the 4th of July festivities and fireworks, with a house that was dressed for the occasion.
So, if you are looking for simple and easy decorations to get your home dressed for the Fourth of July?
You are in the right place friend.
This Patriotic Summer Decor Home Tour post will be short on words and big on pictures, to help inspire you that…
Decorating for the 4th of July doesn’t need to be complicated.
In fact?
You really only need TWO things to decorate for the Fourth of July.
Come and see…
2 Quick Ways To Decorate For The Fourth Of July -Patriotic Summer Decor Home Tour
Flowers and flags are really all you need when it comes to decorating for the Fourth of July.
That’s right friend.
Decorating doesn’t need to be complicated…even for a holiday.
Take this mantle decor for example.
I already had the 3 vintage mason jars, shells and bead garland on hand along with these American stick flags.
All that was missing?
Flowers.
I had been eyeing my neighbor’s gorgeous hydrangea bush every evening, as we would pass by after lacrosse practice.
So yesterday, while taking Willa Pup for a walk, I brought a pair of scissors with me and knocked on my sweet neighbors door and asked if I could give her white hydrangeas a haircut. 🙂
Flowers and a friendly neighbor was all that this mantle needed to be dressed for the Fourth.
Give me all the flags.
I picked up two sets of these small wicker decorated drinking glasses from the Target Dollar Spot. The glass wicker pitcher is from my favorite shop in Lancaster, I shared my favorite store details HERE in this post.
Popped a few flags into white pitcher and laid a Dollar Store handkerchief bandanna on top of a cutting board and this Patriotic center piece is done and done.
Guess what?
I gave another hydrangea bush a haircut..
All in the name of patriotic kitchen island decor. 🙂
I mean blue and white hydrangeas are just about all a girl needs to get her house dressed for the Summer holiday season.
I should warn you.
Once you order these American stick flags…you can’t stop sticking them everywhere!
I stuck one of these small flags in just about every vase, plant and flower pot that is inside and outside of our home.
Just take a look at these pictures to see for yourself, what a small flag can do…
I rest my case.
As I was saying friend…
You really only need TWO main ingredients to decorate your home for the Fourth of July.
Flags and Flowers.
Done and Done.
This flags and flowers theme is true for decorating your home outside too.
Let’s take a look at the front porch…
Yep, I stuck a small stick flag in the wreath on our front door and in the flower pots on our front door patio also.
I also ordered these new flag buntings from Amazon.
We went with the 3×6 size and I am so happy we did.
You can of course hang them under the windows as well, but we have hooks already installed along the upper molding for our Christmas lights, so it makes hanging the buntings easier, from the top of the windows.
I love how these American Fag Buntings dress our home for the Fourth of July holiday!
Shawn loves his outdoor flags.
We have this 3×5 American flag hanging on the flag pole on the front of the house.
He also ordered this small garden American flag that is near the window box.
I also bought new red, white and purpley blue flowers for our window box to freshen up the front of the house for the Fourth.
And that friend, is a Patriotic Summer Home Decor Tour wrap.
I almost forgot!
Don’t forget to decorate the dog!
And the kids!
Ordered this patriotic ribbon from Amazon so the girls could wear the ribbon in their ponytails for the Fourth of July parade.
They wound up using the ribbon early, when we went to cheer on Team USA for the Women’s World Championship for Lacrosse earlier this week!
Wishing you a healthy and safe Fourth of July Holiday friend…
If you need me?
I’ll be on the beach!
PS – Stay safe out there sweet friends…
It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since this heart pounding ocean rescue by a beach patrol lifeguard that saved our oldest daughter. And, I’ve never stared at the sea the same…
Thank You God.
Living on a prayer,
Heather
