It’s almost time friend.
Five days and counting…
I’m so glad to hear from many of you that this was the reminder you needed, in last weeks post…“How to manage holiday stress.”
It seems we are collectively running fast…but wanting slow right now.
And?
That sneak holiday stress seems to simmer hotter and hotter, as the days shrink closer and closer to Christmas Day, doesn’t it?
My hope for both of us is…
That in all the efforts we have offered forward, shopping for thoughtful gifts and creating cozy corners in our home…that we will actually sink into those quiet offerings and receive the tender moments of real life unfolding around us.
So much around us anymore is…
Well, to put it plainly...fake.
My hope, is that we receive what is real…right now.
Even in the midst of the hustle and bustle.
That we intentionally choose to embrace the calm, our hearts are aiming to collect.
Fuzzy blankets and warm drinks encouraged.
Let us power down and posture ourselves with hearts of genuine gratitude for all that we have.
Even if?
There are missing pieces…
We can be thankful for the puzzle that is ours to love, today.
Friend, as I begin to pull away from the commercial fray to purposefully pause and enjoy our home and family…
I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of the Home with Heather community and…
Invite you to step into our cozy Christmas home for a Christmas home tour this holiday season.
Oh!
One more thing.
And this is very important –
From our family to yours…
We wish you a very merry Christmas.
Also?
Raise your hand if you’re like me and didn’t get around to sending Christmas cards this year? 🙂
Cheers to letting something not get done…and living to tell about it!
It just feels good…to let some things go.
Now about that Christmas home tour…
Follow me friend.

And yes, it’s totally worth having a Christmas tree in your bedroom!
Even if you leave it undecorated, like I did!
I love seeing the lights from the 2nd floor window when we round the corner towards our home after walking the dogs at night. 🙂
Well friend.
That’s a Holiday Home Tour 2025 wrap!
A special thanks to my dear friend and local family and newborn photographer, Cassie Phillips of Cassie Beth Photography for taking 99% of these photos for this home tour post.
(I snapped the pictures of our bedroom and a few others on my phone- but her photos are WAY better!)
Cassie is a truly talented photographer, specializing in newborn photography and our family has been blessed to have her capture our annual Christmas photos for the last three years. They have easily become some of my favorite family photos that I hurry up and frame…
If you’re local and in need of a newborn or family photographer, look no further! Cassie is not only an expert, but she is patient, kind and professional. We are blessed by her talents and gifts! You can find Cassie HERE on Instagram or on her website HERE.
To know me is to know I love a good “cheek to cheek” picture of our 3 daughters….
Which I have been known to request A LOT over the years….
One of my all time cheek to cheeks from 2017 hangs on the tree…
And thanks to Cassie the cheek to cheek tradition continues in 2025…with a little less cheek and a little more hair awareness 🙂
Oh friend…my heart is swelling with gratefulness to do life with you – even from afar.
Even if we have never met face to face.
Thank you for all that you are.
May this Christmas season be filled with light and love all around you.
I’ll be seeing you in the New Year.
Until then…
Living on a prayer,
Heather
