Happy Spring friend!!
Fun fact…
Our oldest daughter, Eve’s due date was originally the first day of Spring – March 20th 2009!
But?
She (we didn’t know if she was a she or a he) was so content…
That she stayed put until March 30th!
Which means?

Our little girl is growing up and about to celebrate her Sweet 16th Birthday in a week!
I feel like I just wrote this post, “3 Things I want my Daughter To Know Before She Turns 13” !
Time is slipping through my fingers!
Can’t wait to share with you next week the fun way we are celebrating our Evie’s birthday – stay tuned!
The arrival of Spring always gets me excited for the warmer days ahead and also brings a light wave of nostalgia, as I reflect back on those Spring nesting days, patiently waiting for our first baby to arrive.
And now?
Now, the girls are all growing up and our Spring days are widely spent on the edges of a sports sideline, watching and enjoying our 3 grown girls play the sports they love.
Just last weekend, we traveled to Richmond, Virginia with Livvy, to cheer her on, as she competed with her soccer team in a tournament.

And while I am anxious to start cleaning out the mulch beds and prepping outdoor planters for Spring…
This past week I chose to start sprinkling Spring touches inside…while we wait a little longer for the weather to warm up outside.
Today on the the blog, I am sharing 3 super simple indoor planter ideas to help satisfy my urge to want to get outside, dig in the dirt and start beautifying our mulch beds.
In other words…
I am channeling my inner Heather circa 2009...as I patiently waited for our baby to arrive…I am patiently waiting for Spring weather to really arrive on the scene…
And these pretty indoor planters are helping my think spring mood, move in the right direction…
Towards warmth, sunshine and fresh energy that is right around the corner.

Easy Spring Indoor Planter Ideas

I have enjoyed celebrating the early days of Spring by decorating with daffodils, for the last two years now.
It started HERE, when I began noticing their bright and cheerful nature, along the roadside one morning, while driving Livvy to a doctor’s appointment.

And so?
Earlier this week, my Mom and I stopped into our favorite Amish greenhouse and while I loved looking at all of the flats full of pansies…
I stuck to my daffodil mission and picked up a few small pots of those happy yellow mini daffs.
Just this little dirt digging was an instant mood booster!

I used three planter pots I had on hand (linked below) along with a few mossy bird nests, faux eggs and flocked bunny to create these Spring centerpiece planters.

Gold Metal Compote Planter // White Fluted Ceramic Planter // Flocked Green Bunny // Birds Nest
You might remember I made a very similar Spring planter with a flocked bunny, last year, HERE in this post.

This Spring arrangement, in the white ceramic planter is now serving as coffee table decor in our living room.

Ceramic Planter // Standing Moss Bunny // Light Pink Spiral Taper Candles // Gold Candle Holders (similar)
The aged brass planter with feet…

Total Aside – would you believe I found this planter on the curb, with a pile of discarded furniture, left for trash!
Well, I brought it home and now she has found a new home and made it’s way to our console table in our entryway.

Faux Bougainvillea Branch Stems // Glass Trinket Box // The Love of Home Book // Birds Nest With Eggs

Another aside – can you believe that the oversized ceramic vase that the artificial bougainvillea branches are in…used to look like this?

I thrifted her at the Goodwill store in 2023 and gave her a makeover HERE in this post…
and she is still going strong! 🙂

Last but not least?
The gold compote Spring flower arrangement wound up on our mantel in the hybrid living / dining room!

Living on a prayer,
Heather
