“Favorite Things” Gifts, Charcuterie Board Party Ideas, EASY Holiday Snacks & MORE
I was so excited to host my high school girlfriends for a cozy “Girls Night In,” that I decided I wanted to gift each of them with a little party favor to go home with along with their favorite things!
I found these faux fur slipper socks from Target and paired each with a holiday scented hand cream tied on top.
These faux fur slipper socks from Target, come in a variety of colors and are $8!!

Such an easy gift idea for anyone you want to show appreciation for – great for teachers and neighbors too!
When I shared the slippers with my girlfriends that evening, I also shared a little bit of what has been on my heart and why I was so deeply happy to have everyone together.
Then, I suggested we go around the room and each take anywhere from 10 seconds to 10 minutes to share our High / Low for the year.
Shawn and I do this with our three girls, around the dinner table, when we are all together and it gives everyone a chance to share what the high and low part of their day was.
This little sharing was so special, as we each had a chance and space to either “go deep” or simply catch everyone up on what was unfolding in our lives over the last year.
Creating this little safe space was the highlight of the evening for me, because now, we can help lift and carry each others highs and lows in our hearts.
And in my opinion, caring for each other’s hearts – both the highs and the lows, are the key ingredient as to what makes long lasting friendships last…and helps them to keep going. 🙂
Now, here are the charcuterie boards that my girlfriends each brought to make this party super easy to host!
I made the “Candy Cane” board with mozzarella cheese and tomato slices drizzled with balsamic glaze. I also made the layered Hummus Dip with carrots. I shared the Hummus Dip recipe with you a few months ago, HERE in this post.
My friend, Erin made this amazing Mezze Board.
My bestie Jen, brought a Sushi board which was a BIG hit and Julie made a DELICIOUS pull apart bread with dipping sauces.
Stacie brought a Chips & Dips board and Mandi brought a festive Cookie Board!
And for the grand finale board?
Jenn brought a massive dessert board filled to the brim with every delicious bite and Kahlua pudding shot, you can dream of!

Secret Santa Gift Exchange Party With Christmas Bingo
Livvy was SO excited to host her soccer team on Monday evening for the Secret Santa Gift exchange!
We started the holiday party at 6:30 PM, so that everyone could eat dinner at home and then come to our house to enjoy dessert and treats and have more time for FUN!
We stocked up on holiday theme paper products at HomeSense and then hit Target for easy snacks!
Easy Holiday Snacks & Punch Ingredients
One of the easiest ways to make a festive holiday snack, either for a party or a family movie night is to dress up a bowl of popcorn!
I combined a bag of popcorn with a Holiday pretzels and Holiday M&M’s for a festive snack combination.
Next, we made the punch to go into our Tree Drink Dispensers from Walmart.
We combined a container of each – Ginger Ale, White Cranberry Juice, Pineapple Juice, and Lemonade together and topped it off with orange slices and cranberries!
That’s it!
We served water with cranberries in the second tree drink dispenser.
We also had a hot cocoa bar set up on the same table.
I have linked all of the snacks, punch ingredients and hot cocoa fixings below for easy click and shop curbside pick up!
Last but not least!
The girls all loved playing Christmas Bingo, we used the Holiday M&M’s as markers and each of the girls went home with a fancy “Dollar Store” Prize at the end of the night! HA! 🙂
I found our Bingo online by searching “Free Printable Christmas Bingo” and have been using these same BINGO cards for years and years over.
HERE is a good option to print your own BINGO cards.
Well friend, that’s a wrap on all things Holiday hosting for this week!
We host our annual Christmas caroling party next Saturday and we can’t wait to spread the Christmas cheer throughout our neighborhood as we carol and gather to celebrate the true reason for the season!
I hope this post was helpful to you as you plan your parties and cross those names off your shopping lists!
As always, thank you for being part of this Home with Heather community.
I am so grateful to be doing life with you!
Living on a prayer,
Heather
