I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!
Our family gathered at my Mom’s house for Thanksgiving dinner along with my best friend and her extended family.
My best friend and her family have been coming to my Mom’s Thanksgiving dinner for 33 years!! My bestie, Jen and I met on the first day of 4th grade, when we were 10 years old, in Mrs. Nelson’s class. 🙂
One year, my Mom invited her family to join us for Thanksgiving and we never looked back!
It’s such a special time and one of my most cherished traditions!
Thankfully, Grandma still does the turkey and all of the things and I am only in charge of bringing a few appetizers!
The day after Thanksgiving instead of hitting the stores for Black Friday deals, we head in the opposite direction to my Dad’s Christmas tree farm in the country, where I grew up.
We meet a few of our friends at the tree farm and all of our kids still love to run around the farm and get into mischief, while we browse the rows of trees.
To add the festive week of fun, I co-hosted a holiday workshop with my dear friend from high school who recently opened a brick and mortar interior design studio, Harford Home Interiors on main street in our hometown. Melissa and I share clients and collaborate on a bunch of interior design projects. It has been so fun building our separate businesses, alongside one another. (Melissa specializes in kitchen and bath remodels.)
This past Wednesday night, we held a simmer pot potpourri jar make and take event at her new studio that her sister in law helped us organize. The event sold out in 3 days and was a giant success!
All that to say?
I got swept up in Thanksgiving and holiday workshop fun that I missed connecting with you last weekend here on the blog!
