How To Make Holiday Potpourri Jars & Life Catch Up
Eve recently attended her high school Homecoming dance as a sophomore (how are we here already) with a bunch of her girlfriends.

The very next morning after Eve’s Homecoming, I hopped on a plane to North Carolina to attend High Point Market for the very first time as a designer and business owner!
The experience was AMAZING!!
I learned so much, made new friends and came home FULL of design inspiration!

(My outfit details are linked HERE and HERE)
Shawn and I snuck away to the beach for 24 hours last weekend for a just us trip and it was just what we both needed. Grateful for the quick trip before the holiday hustle & bustle!

We started off this past week by having our amazingly talented family photographer, Cassie Beth, meet us at my Dad’s Christmas tree farm (where I grew up) to take our family photos.
Below is a behind the scenes pic I snapped. Can’t wait to see the pictures when they come in!!

And now?
Now we are in full holiday prep mode around our house!
Here are the details on how to make your own Holiday Potpourri Jars as gifts to give all season long!!
These simmer pot jars would make a perfect hostess gift for the special person who is hosting your Thanksgiving dinner this year!

Holiday Potpourri Simmer Pot Jars How To
*Linking all of the ingredients from Amazon HERE on my Amazon Storefront and full list of supplies at the bottom of this post.

(Pro Tip: Buying in bulk is the way to go!)
Holiday Simmer Pot Ingredients:
Rosemary Sprig (optional)
Apple Slices (optional)
Ball Jars 16 oz. – Amazon
Decorative Fluted Ball Jars – Target
While I ordered all of the simmer ingredients in bulk from Amazon HERE.

I decided to order this 4 pack of decorative fluted Ball jars from Target because they just look prettier than a plain Ball Jar. 🙂

Next, I got to work filling my 16 oz fluted Ball jars using dried orange slices first, then adding a few cinnamon sticks.

Next, I added the whole cloves, star anise and fresh cranberries.
After filling the jar with all of the potpourri ingredients, I placed the jar lid on top and tied a bow with velvet ribbon and added a small tag that explains how to use the ingredients on the stove.

Below is a PDF version of the tag for you to print at home when you make your own!

I also slid a faux sprig of greenery under the velvet ribbon as added decor. 🙂
You can clip a few evergreen branches from your yard to add to the outside of your jar.
Stove Top Potpourri Directions:
Add water or apple cider to a pot.
Add 1 Tbsp of Vanilla Extract
Add all ingredients in jar (plus fresh ingredients i.e. apples, rosemary if you choose) to simmer on low.
End of day, dump out the liquid.
Add more liquid as needed.
Reuse up to 4 days.
Enjoy the magical smell of Christmas in your home all season long!!

I love this glass simmer pot from Amazon for simmering our potpourri on our stove. This would make a perfect gift too along with the ingredients.
I hope that you are feeling inspired with the thought and smell of Christmas!
Now you are ready to make your own homemade stovetop holiday potpourri this season to enjoy for yourself and have on hand to share as gifts!
