A friend and local business owner of John’s Men’s Clothing off of Main Street in our little town, recently reached out to Shawn this week and asked him if he wouldn’t mind sending them a little video wishing all the Mom’s a “Happy Mother’s Day” for their business social media.
It wasn’t until after I helped Shawn record the video that it hit him.
“Wait…when is Mother’s Day?”
And while I love to tease Shawn any chance I get…
I know he is not alone.
So, if you are in need of a few ideas with quick shipping options to get here for Mother’s day?
This post is for you.
And honey?
Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8th just in case you have already forgotten.
Don’t worry, I kind of already bought myself something. 🙂
And because I am in full yard sale prep mode for our BIG yard sale that is happening today – this post is going to be short and sweet and straight to the Mother’s Day Gift Giving point!
If you missed my post on how to have a successful yard sale last week, you can see it HERE. (PS – I just added a Bonus Tip at the very end of last week’s yard sale post and it is my best tip of all.)
Ok now let’s get to the task at hand.
Last Minute Mother’s Day Gift Guide
I am breaking down my Mother’s Day ideas into two gift guides.
The first Mother’s Day Gift Guide is full of ideas my own Mother would love.
Total aside?
My Mom is THE BEST.
The second Mother’s Day Gift Guide is full of ideas I would love to receive for Mother’s Day.
All in hopes it helps you give suggestions to your gift givers, who are shopping at the last minute.
Bless their little hearts. 🙂
And honey – if you are still reading?
You are welcome.
Let’s Go.
(Every gift is linked in the Mother’s Day Gift Guide for easy click and shop images at the bottom of this post.)
My Mom loves to work in her garden, sip a warm cup of tea and she is the best at showing hospitality and making everyone feel welcome in her home.
These Mother’s Day gift ideas are not only gifts that she would love, but any Mom who enjoys loving up on her home and her people.
Barefoot Dreams Caftan – If you have never gifted your Mom Barefoot Dreams sleepwear before – stop reading now and order this.
Flower Seeds for the Mom who loves to stay active and love up on her garden.
My Mom already has this Garden Bench & Kneeler and LOVES IT. While you can sit on it and use it as a bench, my Mom most often keeps it beside her, when she is kneeling and then holds on to the handles to help her GET UP from kneeling in the garden. You can also use it as a kneeler to help not make it so uncomfortable kneeling.
Lavender tea in this beautiful Grandma tea saucer is the perfect gift from our girls to their Grandma.
This new throw pillow from the Studio McGee line at Target. My Mom’s favorite color is blue.
This Hearth & Hand I love You Candle by Magnolia is a no brainer.
This Hearth & Hand blue apron is perfect.
And, this apron and oven mitt from Amazon comes in several different prints and colors.
This Grandmother’s Story Journal is such a great idea for your children to give your Mom.
This Always Pan is ON SALE and is the one pan that EVERYONE is talking about and LOVES. It comes in the prettiest colors.
This expandable garden hose is a must for any aging Mom who loves to garden and doesn’t want to fight with a difficult winding hose compartment. My Mom loves this hose.
This gold indoor watering can also comes with a spray mister. My Mom loves succulents and they require just a taste of water every now and then. This watering can and mister is so cute and fills a need she has.
And now that we have our fabulous Momma’s taken care of?
Let’s help those well meaning hubbies and kiddos out.
So Momma?
If you see something you love, just forward this email and tell them the links to order are at the bottom. 🙂
Here are some great gifts for the on the go Mom’s, who let’s face it…are doing our best at keeping the ship above water…most of the time.
If I were making a “wish list” of sorts for Mother’s Day or planning to gift another Momma in my life with a little something to let her know just how much I appreciate her?
I would fill this adorable new basket from Studio McGee with all the pretty things, that I would not normally buy for myself.
I would also use this basket to fill it with all the things above to give to my Mom.
In short?
Start with this basket to give to the Mom in your life and fill it with all the things.
I love giving a gift in a pretty container and the fact that this tote basket makes an amazing gift all by itself is the best.
Here is what I would fill this beautiful basket with for Mother’s Day…because this basket is big and strong enough to hold all the best things.
I just bought these new sneakers as an early Mother’s day gift to myself last weekend. :).
(Tell me I am not the only one who buys their own gifts every now and then.)
I am have literally worn these sneakers from Target every day since last Saturday and they are super comfortable and go with everything.
I was shopping with a client earlier this week at Target and we both fell in love with these new lightweight gauze throws by Hearth & Hand.
Who doesn’t want a Hug in a Mug?
Yes Please.
I snuck these new pink jeans in at checkout when Shawn was buying a few new threads at the Vineyard Vines outlet, when we went to the beach for Spring Break. These jeans are SUPER comfortable and this is coming from someone who does not like to wear jeans. I love pink so that was an easy choice for me, but they come in a variety of fun colors.
I have my eye on this new turquoise ring from Stella & Dot.
This book by Shauna Niequist is one of my favorite books of all time. It might be drastic to say it changed my life, but it was for sure a HUGE turning point for me when I read it years ago. It is a MUST READ.
I can’t wait to hear her new book, “I guess I haven’t learned that yet,” that just came out this month.
These Free People shorts seem to be all the rage and I’m thinking about giving them a try this Summer.
Also, this Everywhere Belt Bag seems so practical and is super cute.
Give me all the candles in pretty pink glass.
My Mom actually gave me a Magnolia Journal subscription two years ago for Mother’s Day and it is such a treat every time it shows up in our mailbox. A magazine subscription is such a great gift idea, and this journal is quarterly, which is just the right frequency.
This shea butter body lotion is a perfect basket filler.
I saw this frayed button down shirt in person at Francesca’s last week and almost bought it and now I keep thinking about it. Plus, it was SUPER soft.
OK friend!
That’s a Mother’s Day Gift Guide wrap!
