Can you believe we are already finishing one month of the New Year already?
Are you still digging out of the layers of snow and ice, like we are here in Maryland?
Thankfully, we made it back home from our our annual ski vacation with our favorite friends, just before the big SNOW!
While you already know that I am a salt air girl at heart and I love my horizon sunrises…
I have to say, this mountain sunrise was pretty beautiful too –

There is something super special about taking this long weekend away with our besties and their kiddos, or as we like to call them…cousins of the heart. 🙂

We rent a big old house and all the kids bunk up together.
We play games, ski, snowboard, watch movies, cook dinner and LAUGH A LOT!

And then, when we left the mountain…
We drove home just in time to plan to be snowed in at home!
Yes, our girls have had off from school the entire WEEK!

If you’ve been around here for a minute, then you already know that I prefer to take a slower approach to the New Year.
I shared recently, in this post: “How To Refresh Your Home & Heart For The New Year,” how the practice of quieting the house and following nature’s cue to slow down, quiet down and calm down…all help to inspire and cultivate the needed feeling of refreshment, that is critical for both my mind and my heart, during the Winter season.
This practice of going gently, is a way that I treat myself with grace, instead of hustle and pressure.
Also, this is the time of year when I have a craving for creating tiny resets in our home.

These mini resets are not an entire room makeover.
No, no.
They are EASY, tiny tweaks that make a big difference, in both function and feeling!
Today on the blog, I am sharing a mini tour around our home and a round up of new fun favorite items that I have picked up at Target, over the last week, that are helping these mini home resets come to life.

And yes, these pink Target jeans are part of the mini reset too –
Because, hello. 🙂
Have you met me?
Target is speaking my color love language right now and I am here for ALL of it.
These mini makeovers, in the small nooks and crannies of our home are helping to brighten up and fight back those Winter blues.
Anyone??
Ready to see the mini home resets I have given to some of the key hubs of our home, like my nightstand, powder room, kitchen, entryway and more?

Mini Home Resets For Your Home
Round Side Table Reset

As a small business owner, I especially have a heart to support other small business owners and shops.
Earlier this week, Evie and I popped into a new small shop called Homelands Market, nestled on the outskirts of our town and I picked up this mini sweet swan.
She was the perfect finishing touch to this mini reset of our round side table, that is now behind our sofa.

Because, we had rearranged our first floor after we took all of the Christmas decorations down, I had been contemplating how I wanted to use this small side table, behind the sofa.

I decided to add this round table cloth from Target and dress her up a little.
After I layered the table with the new table cloth, I moved this ceramic lamp that was upstairs, on my dresser and added it to the table.

I decided to layer in a few coffee table books from the book case in my home office and a few favorite picture frames, a small dish from another local shop and a pitcher of Spring florals.
And now?
This little round table reset is such a happy place for my eye to land on…

I love that this little quiet moment of a reset round side sofa table is making everything feel softer…
from every view…

If you were around here for the last few Valentine’s Day seasons…
Then you already know that I have a tradition of putting this small wooden heart shaped bowl (another purchase from our beloved local gift shop, The Nest on Main) out on my desk, and filling it with Dove heart milk chocolates.

Home Office Desk Reset
Have I mentioned how much I am loving using our dining table as my new desk?
This desk to dining table reset has been a GIFT for this room!
Lately, all of our girls have been gathering in my office with their friends to play Monopoly or other board games at night, and during the day, it’s perfect for my desk!
And this weekend…
This new puzzle is about to be tackled!

Powder Room Reset

I picked up this new scalloped bath rug and hand towel set for our powder room and voila!
Instant room reset and refresh!

It’s so funny how something as small as a fresh hand towel in the powder room can instantly revive a space!
And of course –
I love that pop of pink! 🙂

Kitchen Nook Reset

Never ever under estimate the power of a pitcher of tulips. 🙂
Right now, I am living in a world where Winter scene art prints can still adorn the walls and Spring florals are beginning to bloom, and I’m not sorry about it.
Not one bit.
To me, Wintry scenes with a side of spring is where cozy meets hopeful.
Because this little reset of tulips on the table –
It’s making a big power play in the direction I am looking forward to heading!

Artificial Tulips // Marble Ruffle Bowl // Wicker Table Lamp
Nightstand Reset

I picked up five of these mini pink peony stems for this mini nightstand refresh and placed them into a vintage pink ruffle vase I bought 15 years ago and this pink on pink combination is making me even more excited to climb into bed at night!

Also excited to light this new pink peony jar candle and read my book at night!
Winter nights just got cozier and prettier!!

Entryway Reset

I mixed these green artificial branch stems with a few older white flower stems for a happier entry in our home and the soft branches on this entry table reset, is making my eyes happy whenever I round the corner.
Also?
I reset our sofa with Spring styled throw pillows!

Well friend, that’s a wrap for now!
I hope you enjoyed these mini home resets to help refresh your home and give your heart a little pick me up as we continue to Winter well together!
Oh!
And don’t forget to yourself a pair of those pretty pink sailor denim jeans! 🙂

We can be twins! 🙂
Living on a prayer,
Heather
