Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
I hope this quick post finds you in a place where you are able to come up for air and take a moment to just close your eyes and just be still for a few seconds.
Right where you are.
Even if you feel like you can’t afford the precious pause.
I would challenge you to still yourself into a silent posture and take a moment, closing your eyes.
And, if I were sitting right beside you I would say to you…
Yes, I know that there is still more to do’s on the list.
The list that only you can take charge of.
I get it…
Even still?
Close your eyes and breathe.
Because?
It’s always ok to…skip a line…and come up for air.
Not only is it OK…I find it to be necessary in these now, now, now days.
May that still silent breath, breathe you into a new flow state of contentment and peace that can only come from Him.

Dear friend, I pray this brief message comforts you today, to step out of the race pace as needed, let your gut guide you into your day and rest into the cues for quiet and calm.
Just yesterday, I rested into a cue for quiet.
I needed to inhale the smell of Christmas versus the stress of Christmas.
Whenever I am feeling a bit stretched and scrambled, I find it best to step away from whatever it may be and get busy with my hands.
Making this holiday stovetop potpourri was exactly the rest-cue I needed to pause and ponder in order to fight off the noise of hurry up and hectic.
It’s during these little moments…that I find the exquisite exchange my heart needs.
A moment to meet with God, to offer my deep thanks for just HOW BIG HE IS.
May we each celebrate Christmas with the perspective of what the BIG picture really is all about.
Merry Christmas friend, may you and yours be well and blessed as you celebrate Him.
Living on a prayer,
Heather
