It has been a chilly and dreary week here in Maryland!
And while I am so super ready for those April showers to bring May flowers around here…I have also been aiming to embrace the slow hand off between Winter to Spring…
Popped on my Instagram stories HERE yesterday, for the first time in awhile.
While I’ve still been enjoying sharing our family activities, sports, celebrations and work projects on Instagram stories, I haven’t been as active as I once was, simply popping in and sharing bits and pieces of life for awhile…
And that absence?
It’s been on purpose.

I heard once that if you find yourself always bumping into friends and catch yourself saying the same rendition of:
“Hi! Yeah we’re good…good..been super busy, running around…you know…”
Well, if that sentence is on repeat all the time…the: “yeah it’s a busy season…”
Then…that is not actually a busy season.
That is a busy life.
Gulp.
When I heard that pearl of wisdom, it made me take pause.
I’ve been purposefully choosing my absence on Instagram stories since the New Year…because for us?
I know that Fall and Spring are inevitably our unavoidable “busy seasons” – with all three girls in full swing of school and sports, coinciding with my busy season of Home with Heather client work.
However, during Winter and Summer?
There is an opportunity on the time table, to carve out a time, a season…for replenishment.

So, while I continue to show up here every week, on the blog and in other areas of my life, that earn the right to absorb my time and energy. I have also determined areas that don’t necessarily warrant or earn the right to steal my time…for right now.
I am finding that this past Winter season of replenishment has come in handy for building margin, so that I have a reserve of bandwidth to reach from as we approach our ‘busy season.”
I will have more words to say on this real soon…
For now, I am still steeping in this season of replenishment.
And if that sounds enticing to you and you are thinking, “Oh no! I didn’t use the Winter to replenish or build my reserve of margin!”
Take a deep breath.
You are never too late to take a pause.
Plan your absence –
So that, you can plan your presence…
Right here, right now…
Rest, Replenish, Repeat – so that you can begin again.
Today on the blog, I am sharing exactly what is hopping into our 3 tween and teen girls Easter baskets!

If you have been around here for a minute – then you already know how I love a good excuse to make a gift basket and fill it with all the pretty things and useful goodies!!
Also, if you have been around here…then you already know that I live in a world where I have to hide my favorite fuzzy socks, telescopic mascara and expensive shampoo.
Because?
Teen girls.
This is the world in which I live, currently.
Not complaining one bit – really.
But maybe perhaps?
Perhaps this is one of the reasons why a “season of replenishment” is so necessary!
HA!!
If you know, you know! 🙂
So if you’re looking for the easy button to fill an Easter basket for girls, especially for the teen and pre-teen girls in your life, you’ve come to the right place!
Today, I’ll be sharing with you all the Easter basket stuffer details along with two very special Easter traditions that we look forward to every year!

Ultimate Easter Basket For Girls & More

I love making our girls’ Easter baskets look pretty, while also filling them with gifts that I know they will actually use and need this Spring.
Things like, a fresh sports bra, new Spring pajamas and sleep wear, pretty journals, devotionals, pastel pens and highlighters, beauty products, shampoos and conditioners they love and more.

Special Easter Traditions Our Family Loves
But before we jump into all of the Easter basket for girls stuffer ideas…
I want to share quickly two of our favorite Easter traditions that we love!
The first is making our lamb cake to bring to my Mom’s house for Easter brunch after church…

Notice how our lamb cake has evolved over the years?
The jelly bean ears and eyes just never quite looked right – so I am glad we have skipped them the last few years!
Baking this lamb cake with our girls is one of my favorite Easter traditions!
The second is decoupaging Easter eggs with cocktail napkins instead of dying eggs!

You can quickly see how we do both of these special traditions HERE in this post with all the directions and step by steps!
And now?
Here is exactly what is going into our girls’ Easter baskets this year!
How I Fill My Easter Basket for Girls

I tend to slowly start picking up items here and there and stash it all away until I am ready to fill their baskets.
I start by laying everything out on the kitchen counter and sorting into three piles for Eve, Maci and Livvy

Then, I get busy stuffing!
I usually start by adding the taller candy bags and shampoos and conditioners in the back and then work my way to the front with the exciting and more unexpected treats.

The Original MakeUp Eraser
This year’s “surprise” and more splurgy gifts are these Make Up Eraser cloths from Anthropolgie!

A client of mine recommended this 7 day make-up eraser set to me, they come in the cutest gift box and have a laundry bag for easy washing!
Activated by water, one side is for removing makeup and the other is for gentle exfoliating!

She’s Birdie–The Original Personal Safety Alarm
I am also excited to gift Eve with this Birdie personal safety alarm from Amazon!

Mum’s Memory Mini Zip Around Wristlet
Now that Eve has her driver’s permit.
I know.
I can’t believe it either.
But, now that she is learning to drive she carries this cute dual pouch wallet wristlet from Amazon to hold her driver’s license etc.

So, now she has a place to carry this Birdie safety alarm with her – which makes my Mom heart feel a little better, for when she might be walking alone in the months ahead.
Here is an up close look at each of the Easter Basket for Girls.

They are each a little unique, with different sets of pajamas, new sports bras from Dicks and then topped off with Easter candy and chocolate bunnies of course!

But of course we know…that the Easter Basket goodies aren’t the real reason to be delighted on Easter morning.
If you’re looking for an easy way to talk to the younger children in your life about the meaning of Easter, you may find this blog post that I wrote three years ago, to be helpful in teaching them about the meaning of Easter.
PS: Our girls will be on Spring Break for part of next week…our hope is to travel to our beach place for a few days..so if I don’t meet you here next week…
I pray that you feel God extra close, as we journey towards Easter together friend.
Living on a prayer,
Heather
