Looking for affordable window treatments and neutral curtains? Here are viral Amazon drapes, woven Roman shade and best selling curtain rod.
Can I just tell you how much I needed this?
It’s been a bit of a demanding start to Summer, balancing client work, all three of our girls at home, lacrosse schedules and all the things.
If you are feeling a little bit like Summer is slipping by and you haven’t totally embraced all that it has to offer…in the form of rest and recalibration…you’re not alone.
The good news is?
There’s still time to make the most of what may be your favorite season!
And, that is just what we plan to do for the next two weeks, with toes in the sand of our favorite beach for a real break in the go go go schedule!
Just before we left for our beach break, Shawn and I finally got around to hanging our new room darkening drapes and installing a custom sized woven bamboo Roman shade, both from Amazon!
Today, on the blog I am sharing the perfect winning combination for a perfect neutral window treatment that adds cozy and inviting warmth to a room without weighing it down!

Wait Until You See The BEST Curtains, Woven Roman Shade and Curtain Rod – Amazon
You may remember from this Loving Right Now post, that we are in the middle of a bedroom refresh.
We started in March, with fresh paint and added two board and batten accent walls on opposing sides of the room.
We have had to break up the bedroom projects in waves due to our schedule, which I actually don’t mind, because you wind up appreciating the small updates more, as you take your time!
I first shared HERE in this post, that we started our master bedroom makeover by installing this skinny board and batten accent wall.
We love how this bedroom accent wall turned out!
You can get the details on the paint color and board and batten wall and board spacing HERE in this post.
Back to the winning combination window treatment!
The double window that faces the front of our home has plantation shutters from Home Depot, that we installed ourselves.
But the double window facing the back of our house had old, faux wooden blinds that were in desperate need of being trashed!
(You can see more of Shawn’s DIY board and batten wall behind our bed and the paint color we used, HERE in this post. )
But, crazy sports schedules every weekend kept us from getting around to tackling the new window treatment plan, along with the finishing work of new base board trim etc…
Therefore…
Our double window in our bedroom has been naked for months…eek!
But not anymore!
Thanks to the perfect winning combination I put together using the viral Amazon drapes, a custom sized woven Roman shade, end cap style curtain rod, and drapery clip rings all from Amazon!
The 4 EXACT items we used to style our bedroom window are linked below from Amazon.
Now, as I mentioned we are still in the middle of finishing our bedroom makeover, but these room darkening pinch pleat drapes have completely elevated the space and I could not be happier with them!
Pro – Tip: I always hang my curtains and drapery at least 6 inches above the window trim and 6 inches out and away from the side of the window trim, in order for the window to appear larger.
I ordered the pinch pleat drapes in size 52 W x 96 L because I wanted the curtains to be hung high and wide from the window trim and I like the way the bottom of the drapery panels pool or puddle on the floor for an at ease vibe.
I decided to order these pinch pleat window drapes that are sold by panel (not as a set) in Color #1 Beige White, even though purchasing two panels was a little more expensive than my other “go-to” curtain panels sold as a set from Amazon because this style is more of a room darkening drape.
Versus this style of semi sheer faux linen pinch pleat curtains, that we have in both our dining room and living room downstairs are more light filtering and are more for decor, versus actually making the room darker, which is what we wanted for our bedroom.
You can see my favorite semi sheer pinch pleat curtains from Amazon that are more light filtering pictured below in our living and dining rooms.
Now back to the new pinch pleat curtains for our bedroom that are more room darkening and perfect for a bedroom!
If you are wondering if these curtains will make the room dark enough, here is what you should know.
Shawn likes things to be DARK when he sleeps!
The other morning he woke up and said and I quote:
“Those curtains and that shade you ordered are MONEY!!“
This is a WINNING window treatment combination friends!!
The combination of these room darkening curtain panels, this wood bamboo woven shade with blackout liner, this end cap curtain rod and these drapery clip rings have elevated our bedroom in both style and sleep quality! 🙂
Here’s a quick breakdown of how the pinch pleat curtain panels and drapery clip rings work.
The pinch pleat curtains come with the white adjustable pin hooks that you slide on the back side of the curtain, up into the hole of where the pinch pleat is gathered.
Next, slide on the drapery clip rings using the small loop hole and and install your curtain rod for them to drapery clip rings slide right on to!
One last thing.
I ordered this woven bamboo shade in a custom size (in color 7 Beige Liner) because I needed a woven roman shade in a unique size, in order to fit our bedroom double window. I also paid a little extra for the blackout liner.
In the past, when we haven’t needed to order a custom size, I have and love these woven bamboo shades in color “whitewash” that we have installed in our bay window of our beach condo, which you can see HERE in this post.
That’s it friends!
The best curtain window panels, woven bamboo shade and end cap curtain rod with clip rings, all from Amazon!
We still have to finish the base board trim, order a new ceiling fan, new comfy bench for the end of the bed and all of those fun finishing touches but this bedroom makeover is coming along!
If you’re curious about our bedding and that cozy knit throw blanket at the end of our bed, you can get all the details HERE in this post.
I hope you enjoyed seeing this easy and affordable bedroom window transformation!

PS. If you prefer a kiss the floor hem, this HeatnBond tape is a perfect solution to make an easy no sew hem to shorten your curtain panel length, which I might do once I get around to the finishing touches of our bedroom decorating!
