Do you have friends that teach you things without saying a word?
I love those kinds of friends.
The ones whose quiet actions do all the talking.
I got back on my running horse this week. I had fallen off the exercise wagon 2 weeks ago due to vacation, a sick kid and well…laziness.
But?
I decided that I wanted to start my 41st year literally off on the right foot so I laced back up on Monday morning.
As I rounded the last corner, turning in the direction towards my home do you know what beautiful sight my eyes caught a glimpse of?
My sweet friend and neighbor.
She was kneeling down, observing a swallowtail butterfly fluttering above my Mom’s garden near her mailbox and capturing it’s simple beauty with her iphone.
I asked her to send me the capture.
As I passed her, I took my ear bud out, yelled “I love you” and blew her a kiss.
Because I just love how this particular friend teaches me without saying a word...time and time again.
She has a bazillion things on her plate and all the things are not crossed off her list.
But?
She takes pause in the every day, breathes it in and displays the beautiful gift of simply being where her feet are in the moment.
I love that friend.
So today my sweet friends…
While I am craving a deep pause in the midst of bracing and preparing for the wave of a strong transition from slow Summer days into robust rhythmic routine?
I will allow for the pause.
I will allow for the not getting it all done.
Because somehow someway, there is truth in the knowing that somehow…it all works out.
And in the spirit of enjoying the moment…I thought I would bring you a post filled with all the things I am loving right now…in this moment.
A little bit of home decor, fashion, outdoor enjoyment and well…just randomness that has me tickled in this exact moment…kind of like me loving my neighbor observing the butterfly.
Just plain good stuff right now, in this moment.
Want to come along for a fun post filled with links of what I’m loving right now?
Yay!
I love that you love a little bit of random too.
And cute.
And cozy.
Follow me to cute, cozy and random!
In no particular order, here we go!
These Bunny Tail Pampas Grass Bunches
You already know I love pampas grass…but sometimes you just want a tiny touch of texture.
I talked about these cute bunny tail bunches of pampas grass in my IG stories yesterday.
You can order them from Amazon here.
I am loving all things neutral texture right now. These stems are $17.99, come in two bunches and are in great condition.
That small ceramic vase the bunny tails are in?
Brings me to my next thing I am loving right now.
This store.
You can catch a short tour from my trip there this week in my IG Highlight here.
Not only do I love the products?
I love the prices of this unique shop. So many beautiful pieces to fall in love with. If you are not local to their Lancaster, Pennsylvania location, you can shop their curated boutique online here.
You can also get the scoop on the goodies that came home with me thanks to a little birthday cash my Dad gifted me with in my IG Highlight.
Speaking of Birthday presents?
My Mom gifted me with a combination present for Mother’s Day and my Birthday this year and I am IN LOVE with her gift…
These Adirondack Chairs
(On SALE now.)
We are patio people.
Tearing down the original deck and replacing it with a larger stamped concrete patio and fire pit has been one of the best home improvement decisions we have made.
But?
Our old plastic chairs had seen their last family S’mores night and we were in desperate need of new seating options around the fire pit.
As for color, I knew that I wanted a natural stain look to the chairs and after a lot of research, we went with these Adirondack chairs. I love that they are foldable because we will store them during the Winter to protect the Acacia wood.
We broke them in already last weekend during an outdoor movie and they are comfortable and sturdy. Not too heavy, yet not too lightweight that they will blow around.
Aside – I am often asked for the links to our outdoor movie screen and projector.
We have had this movie set up for 4 years and both the inflatable screen and projector are in amazing condition. I can not begin to tell you how much our family loves outdoor movie night. These two purchases have been hands down one of the best investments into family time.
Here is the link to the inflatable movie screen we have from Amazon.
Here is the link to a similar movie projector, also from Amazon.
While we love our real fire pit…sometimes sweet hubby is not always feeling energetic enough to build the fire.
So his #1 request for Father’s Day this Summer was an outdoor propane fire pit to enjoy with the push of a button.
And so?
We are currently loving the ease of…
This Propane Fire Pit
While we are currently in the middle of an end of Summer heat wave…we have actually enjoyed this fire pit on cooler evenings over the last month.
My husband was right.
There really is something about the simplicity of an effortless flame to enjoy a quick evening hour with zero prep work.
And?
We love that we now have two seating areas on our patio to enjoy with the ambience of a fire pit.
While we are here…I have to tell you something else I am loving right now about this space.
These bushes.
We planted 3 of these Skip Laurel Bushes last year to create a natural privacy screen around this seating area.
If you are in need of a recommendation for bushes in order to gain a little privacy…these Skip Laurel bushes are your solution.
They are fast growing and I love their glossy, green leaves that they keep year round. I am thrilled at how tall they have already grown to give us that natural, built in element of privacy from the street.
I haven’t started decorating for Fall…yet.
But?
I am loving…
These pumpkins
Yes, we are back to me loving neutral colors mixed with texture.
I love that these pumpkins come in a set of 5 of various sizes.
And?
They are under $10.
The basket?
Also under $10 from Cocalico Creek, mentioned above, along with the taller, more full pampas grass stems.
Also loving?
Flameless candles with remote
I just love the glow they give off at night.
These candles make me take a deep breath when I settle into our sofa and are a main ingredient for upping the cozy factor in our home. I have grouped a few together in a bowl for coffee table decor and placed two more on the middle shelf of our wicker side table that just came back in stock.
So many of you have asked me about this side table. You can grab our coastal inspired wicker side table here from Home Depot right now before it sells out again.
These blooms.
These beautiful blooms came from a local, small-scale flower farm called Joy in Hand, located just outside of Bel Air.
Local friends…you will love these boutique style bouquets. You can find out more about these farm flower blooms, how to order an arrangement or schedule a bouquet pick up at the cutest road side stand or delivery here on Joy In Hand’s website.
I just love reading the history behind the name of my friend’s flower farm.
Yesterday, I was honored to deliver this bunch of blooms to a friend as part of the Joy in Hand #Growingkindness campaign. (See my social stories for more on this.)
Even if you are not local for bloom shopping…I think we can all agree that we all love random displays of kindness, especially right now.
I am also loving…
These joggers for $20 from Target. They are perfect for transitioning your wardrobe from Summer to Fall.
This song. (My husband introduced me to it because he knows that I am an 80’s music die hard…always and forever and I love a good remix.)
This podcast “You really can live free” with Jennie Allen & Ruth Chou Simmons.
My key podcast takeaway?
Jesus came not just to save us…but to sustain us.
Last but not least…speaking of sustaining…
I don’t have all the right words to say right now about how I am feeling about all that is unfolding in our world.
So?
I am going to leave you with the words from this Lindsay Letters art print that I am loving…especially RIGHT NOW.
As we know…the world keeps on delivering sad and disturbing news.
We are living inside of a world that wants to taunt our hope.
We are living inside a world where we need steady perseverance as much as we need the next breath in our lungs
Friend, I don’t know all that is bumping inside your brain right now…but I do want to encourage you not to receive the lie that hope is just a set up for heartbreak.
But instead?
Believe in the truth that you will never regret having hope.
And then?
Pour out all of your confused emotions to God and ask Him to give you a heaven-minded perspective so that you can keep on, keeping on.
Oh and before I let you go!
If you love Lindsay Letters watercolor and meaningful words art as much as I do…
I have a Lindsay Letters promo code just for you!

PS…Love you friend.
Dear God,
Thank you for hope.
Thank you that I can have honest conversations with you about all that is heavy on my heart. Help me to remain focused on you and help me to seek your heaven minded perspective in every wobbly and worrisome circumstance.
When the world feels scary or shaky…
let my knee jerk reaction be to come to you on my knees.
Amen.
Living on a prayer,
Heather
