What I’m Loving Right Now – September Pick Me Up
While we were out of town for a soccer tournament over Labor Day weekend, I found myself in a mall shopping!
I can’t remember the last time I actually shopped in a mall!
But, while all the soccer players were chowing down in the food court, I slipped off and wandered the mall walkways until I found myself in Aerie!
That’s where I found the first item on the list of what I am loving right now!
I am Loving this super comfy and oversized Aerie Lumber Jane Fleece Shirt!
It’s not really “fleece,” but it IS super comfy and cozy and structured just enough to give it an oversized but not too frumpy fit!
Available in 8 different colors HERE.
I am actually wearing a size XXS, which I never ever wear. But, because the button down is an oversized style to begin with, I downsized.
In other comfy Fall fashion news –
I also just ordered this Essential Raglan Classic Sunday Crew Sweatshirt in light brown and THIS Essential Popover Hoodie in cream from Abercrombie.
Can’t wait for the new Abercrombie sweatshirts (linked at the bottom of this post also) to arrive because…
The Abercrombie sweatshirts will go perfectly with my favorite Live In Pocket Joggers, a past item of last year’s Fall edition of What I’m Loving Right Now…and my new Fall sneakers!
I am Loving these Nike Waffle Debut Sneakers in Sandrift.
These sneakers fit true to size and are linked from a few different vendors at the bottom of this post.
I am loving the black and neutral colors for Fall fashion!
I am Loving this 3 ingredient recipe for an EASY DINNER!
You may remember that I shared this recipe in my Instagram stories, after seeing it from another blogger. I first tried it out over the Summer, as a supper easy dinner to throw together after spending the day on the beach.
Honestly?
This simple dinner is so easy, it is perfect for any evening when you are short on time and long on hungry people to feed!
All three of our girls and both Shawn and I love this easy dinner!
Easy Dinner Steps:
Place Boursin Cheese in the center of a casserole dish and sprinkle broccoli florets around the round of cheese.
Add in sliced up pieces of chicken sausage on top of brocolli.
Bake at 400 degrees for 18 minutes.
Remove from oven and using a spoon, mix the cheese, sausage and broccoli together.
Serve over steamed rice and enjoy!
Easy.
Yummy.
Done and done.
I am LOVING this Hummus Appetizer – perfect for Sunday football watching!
One of my oldest and most dear best friends brought this appetizer over when we got together to celebrate my birthday last month.
After nearly licking the plate clean, I asked my friend Julie for the recipe.
This is what she gave me:
Hummus Dip Appetizer Recipe –
Spread Boars Head Everything Bagel hummus on the bottom of your platter.
Sprinkle on top:
Diced cucumber
Diced Tricolor baby tomatoes
Red onion
Fresh basil chopped up
Feta Cheese Crumbles
Cracked Salt and pepper
Balsamic glaze drizzled on top
Served with bagel chips, pita chips, celery, carrots – anything you like to use as a dipper!
I am Loving the Power Of Spray Paint!
A few months ago, the girls and I rescued a green wicker outdoor settee from the side of the road.
This is your reminder that spray paint can bring almost anything back to life!
And also?
Kids love to use a can of spray paint! 🙂
Before:
After!
A new coat of paint and fresh cushion is all this girl needed to be brought back to life and given a new home!
This little outdoor space is just at the beginning stages of what I am dreaming up for creating another seating area to enjoy in our backyard.
For now, we have strung a few outdoor string lights in a way that feels a bit more whimsical and less fussy…
Which leads me to the next bit of what I’m loving right now…
I am Loving These Outdoor Sphere Light Balls From Amazon.
If you see Shawn out and about this weekend, you can give him a pat. on the back for hanging these outdoor light balls.
🙂
These waterproof outdoor light balls come as a set. of 3 and are attached together and run off of one plug, which I connected to the string lights we already had hanging around the tree trunk.
I just love creating ambiance in the backyard!
And now that it is becoming “hot tub weather,” the view from our new hot tub just got a whole lot prettier! 🙂
Last but not least?
I loved decorating this new office location for Black Oak Title Company!
A wonderful local business with a fabulous team of knowledgeable people, to help make the home buying experience smooth and enjoyable!
That’s a wrap of What I’m Loving Right Now friend!
I hope this post helped you to find a little ease and reprieve from the day to day run and gun pace.
May you carve out slices of seconds to still yourself into soothing rhythm today.
Living on a prayer,
Heather

I love your style in everything! Also, love reading your precious thoughts on our dear Lord. You are so inspiring!
I do get two of your blogs. One comes into my regular email, but never has the photos included. The other always goes into my junk mail and has the photos. I then send to myself, but others piggy back unto it then I get the “trashy junk” in my inbox! Is there anyway to make sure I’m getting the photo blog. Thank you, Heather!😘
Hi Loretta! Thank you so much for your kind comment! And thanks for letting me know about how you are receiving the email updates.
