I’ve missed you friend!
It feels like the days have been slipping away more quickly than usual around here!
Anyone else feel like the days are just flying by?
Which I am not complaining about one bit, as your girl here is ready for SPRING!
Speaking of Spring, I can’t wait to share with you the little living room Spring refresh I have in store for you today on the blog!
But first, here’s a quick recap of life around here lately!
February has kept us on our toes!
Maci borrowed Eve’s Homecoming dress and wore it to her 7th grade school dance! One of the many perks to having 3 girls!!
Last weekend, Livvy and I packed up and headed to the beach for a soccer tournament which made for the perfect excuse for a “just us” Mother Daughter weekend away!
Earlier this week I got together with my best friends from high school for a girls dinner.
Last year, around this time, I made it my mission to get all 7 of us together in the same room for dinner, after a decade of not seeing each other all together!
We are blessed to have 16 kids between all 7 of us, so of course it is hard to break away and have all the schedules align…
But?
What we have found and agree on after getting together 5 times over this last year?
We miss each other and we need each other!!
We need each other more regularly in our lives, perhaps more than ever, as we are in the “sandwich season” of life!
And, there is something so genuine about the friends who have known you since you were 13 years old. It’s just real…and real is hard to find anymore.
In other exciting news, Eve qualified to compete in the Regional Finals for Indoor track as a Freshman and broke a record at her school!
We were so excited to cheer her on! Maci wanted to be there to support Eve and asked me to pull her out of school early, so that she could travel with me to watch her compete in regionals!
Some things are worth missing school for! 🙂
And while at regionals…
Eve qualified for STATE’S and will be competing in the 500m, 4×800 relayon February 21st!
I have to say I am one proud Momma, as this is a totally new sport for Eve and it has been so exciting to watch her race!
However, in not so fun news, Eve came down with pneumonia and has been VERY sick ever since she raced at Regionals. So, we are praying for her good health to be restored and that she recovers speedily so that we can support her in the Maryland State Championship this coming week! Prayers appreciated!
Now that you are caught up on the family life cliff notes around here…

How To Decorate A Coffee Table & SPRING Living Room Refresh
First things first, start with a clean slate!
I always love to start with a “clean slate” whether it is styling shelves, a console table, our fireplace mantel or even an entire room, if you are desiring that full room refresh.
In this case, removing and clearing away all the things, like magazines, TV remotes and table decor is important, so that you can truly see the entire potential of the space and surface you have to work with.
I decided to play around with different decor and style our coffee table a few different ways.
Here Are 3 different Coffee Table Styling Vignettes!
Now, that we have seen my Amazon coffee table styled 3 different ways, here are 3 tips to make it a breeze to style your coffee table for Spring!
3 Tips For Styling Your Coffee Table
1. Utilize Flowers or Greenery.
Start styling your coffee table by placing an arrangement of flowers or greenery on one side of your coffee table.
You can use real or artificial flowers or green stems!
The important thing here is that we are utilizing florals or greenery to add color, texture and soft organic shape by way of the flowers or leaves.
In one styling, I used a bouquet of $5.99 real tulips from the grocery store. HERE are beautiful artificial tulips from Amazon that look very realistic, available in a variety of colors.
I also love to use this marble ruffle bowl from Amazon on our coffee table as a decorative finishing touch.
Another finishing touch coffee table staple is a stack of books.
I like to pair one larger coffee table book with a smaller book and then top them off with a very small decorative dish.

Coffee Table Styling 101 Recap!
1. Start with a vessel filled with florals or greenery.
2. Add height for visual interest to draw the eye up.
3. Finish the look by adding smaller details using bowls, candles and / or a stack of books!
Done and done!
Here are the other small changes I made in order to give the living room a Spring refresh, without breaking out all the bunnies…yet!
I swapped out all of the Winter art prints on our picture ledge for Spring art. You can see the transformation of our DIY board and batten wall with a picture ledge HERE in this post.
