I did a thing this past weekend!
Oh friend, I am so excited to share!
I have been slowly processing the fullness and depth of my heart since being the guest speaker at CrossRoads Community Church Women’s brunch on Saturday morning.

In a nut shell?
I feel excited, humbled, excited, honored, excited…
Did I mention I feel excited? 🙂
Yes, I am feeling excited about this new opportunity that I am feeling nudged and led deeper into.
Which means?
Today, on the blog I am sharing briefly what this speaking engagement looked like, how it came to be and what it means for you.

So, if you’re a little bit curious as to why I am holding up a wooden ruler and wondering what the heck I spoke about for one hour, to a room full of women?
Follow me friend, here’s the scoop.
What You Need To Know About My New Women’s Speaking Platform
First thing’s first.
When CrossRoads Community Church leadership initially reached out to me and asked if I would consider being their guest speaker at their upcoming women’s brunch…
I was deeply touched.
Because?
Walking through the doors of CrossRoads Community Church, was a major piece of the puzzle that helped to save my marriage to Shawn back in 2006.
In fact, the Pastor of CRCC is the wonderful pastor that renewed our wedding vows and baptized us together.

So, when the church leadership reached out to ask if I would be willing to come back and share a message with the women of their church?
My heart knew the answer was YES.
The wonderful and exciting part about going back to the church that helped to save me, was the exciting fact that they had a new church home!

When Shawn and I attended CRCC from 2006-2011, we were a mobile church meeting in a high school auditorium.
And now?
Even though the church doors look different and the building is filled with new beautiful spaces for fellowship and worship…

The hearts inside are the same – plus more!
So what was it, that I shared when I walked through those doors?

Well friend, I am not going to spill the entire message right here…right now.
Although, you can look forward to a written form coming soon on the blog.
But for now?
Know this.
In 60 minutes…we just scratched the surface.
And yet?
In a way…we covered it all.

- Our own personal brand of overwhelm.
- How to make peace with pressure.
- How to hold hands with our humanity.
- How to be human…and find rest for your soul.
Friend, I don’t know if you are a member of a church where you gather together as women for special events or retreats…
Or perhaps you are connected to a group of like-minded women, who are in need of a little heart refreshing.
I want you to know that a fire has been lit and I’m feeling led to be part of the wind that helps to fan the flame.
Because in a world where the metrics that are being taught…
are only quantifiable?
I am sharing a different message.

I am so grateful that Eve and Maci and my Mom were all able to be part of the audience in the room on Saturday.
Because?
This message is for them.
It’s for me.
It’s for you.
It’s for my Mom.
It’s for your Mom.
It’s for every woman I know.
And so?
I am looking forward to more opportunities to speak!
More opportunities to share and shine the light through my personal testimony & experiences on my new speaking platform:
Heather Krout Speaks.
