Is it me or does Thanksgiving feel like a long time ago already!?
We have packed A LOT into the last week – here is a quick recap!
My amazing and kind Mom is the hostess with the mostest for Thanksgiving every year and I am so grateful she loves to cook!
I am in charge of other important things…like making festive cheese trays with our girls and organizing ridiculous and fun games to play after we feast! HA!
A fun fact you might not know, is that we have been celebrating Thanksgiving with my Best Friend since the 4th grade and her extended family!
Needless to say?
We are FRAMILY and our families close relationships and friendships are at the tippy top of my list when we go around the table on Thanksgiving and share what we are grateful for!
Once Thanksgiving was all wrapped up, we jumped full steam ahead into all things Christmas, enjoying all of the activities we love this time of year!
Starting with driving to the small Christmas tree farm that I grew up on and that my Dad still operates every year!
It’s a tradition that once we pick out our tree at my Dad’s Christmas tree farm, we decorate it that evening and cap off the evening with a Christmas movie – just the five of us!
It’s one of the evenings I look forward to most!
And somewhere in the middle of that busy holiday weekend, I attended my high school’s 25th reunion!
It was SO good to reconnect with dear friends who have moved out of state and traveled back to town to celebrate…well…us being OLD! HA! 🙂
Once Monday morning came, I got busy with Shawn who took the day off from work to help me decorate this historic and well known house in our town, for Christmastime!
Last year, was the first time I was hired to decorate this beautiful home and I shared all of the details HERE in this post, including the details about the two different pre lit garlands that I used and wrapped together, to create this look when you drive by at night and see it all lit up!
And now…
Speaking of decorating and combining two types of garland –
I have been busy decorating our own indoor entryway and living room, using my two favorite types of garland, in order to create a soft and inviting look when you first walk inside the door of our home.
Today on the blog, I am sharing the exact types of garland I used, (they are still in stock as of the writing of this post) along with more entryway and console table decor.
Plus, I am sharing the exact Christmas and Winter pine affordable art prints that I ordered, and put into our Target gallery frames to decorate our board and batten picture ledge wall in our living room for Christmas.

Wait Until You See This Christmas Entryway & Living Room Decor
This is what I started with when I decided I wanted to hang garland in the hall / doorway that leads into our living room.
And this is what it looks like now!
To start, I wrapped this artificial seeded eucalyptus garland around this Norfolk Pine garland.
You can use another type of green garland with the eucalyptus garland.
Pro Tip: Always wrap two different types of garland together to create a full and soft overall look.
Next, I hung the combined two strands of garland up on the molding of the doorway opening using long nails to keep it in place.
I decided to go for an asymmetrical look above the door way, so that you can still appreciate and fully see our Christmas tree from my Dad’s tree farm.
I ordered this set of lighted brown branches from Amazon and laid them out on the floor and decided I wanted to incorporate the pre lit branches into the garland also.
I tacked the branch cord along the right side of the door molding and then ran the lit branches across the top of the door way and down the left side by sticking the stem of each twig branch into the already secured double stranded garland.
I am loving the look of this garland combined with the twinkle of the lit twig branches!
It feels so cozy at night!
After I decorated the garland I decided to use some left over Norfolk pine branches and random green sprigs from year’s past, to make my own DIY swag to hang above our round mirror in the entryway.
I started by laying out the fullest pieces of greenery that I had to make an arch and connected them together with floral twine.
Next, I kept adding in smaller pieces of greenery by layering on top of the Norfolk pine branches until I was satisfied with the fullness.
Then, I hung it on top of our round mirror and added a velvet bow and small set of gold bells!
I finished off the entry way by adding festive Christmas decor to the console table.
I ordered this set of Norfolk Pine branches from Amazon to help fill my oversized round vase (I thrifted the vase from Goodwill and painted it)
I also ordered and LOVE this set of 3 gold bells from Amazon and placed them on the far right side of the console table.
Picked up a small round frame from Homesense for our newest family photo, HERE is a similar round frame.

I ordered 4 new art prints of Wintry Pines to decorate our living room and placed them in the Target gallery frames on our DIY board and batten picture ledge wall.
