I just got off the phone with my Mom.

And perhaps maybe you can relate…

I was explaining how I am not ready to give up our Summer days and send our 3 girls back to school in a week.

And yet?

I also crave quiet.

Maybe you have been hosting company for extended stays or simply been on the go…loving every inch and minute..but also needing slow stretches of silence.

Right now, I am sorting out the minute to minute tension of having loved our fun in the sun days spent with our daughters and also craving quiet time, to process and produce work projects that call for clear minded attention.

Yes, right now…

I bounce between shooing and shhhing our girls during Momma work mode…to the finicky feelings of making a quick Target run without them…and missing them!

Why does their nonsense drive you nuts one moment and then leave you missing their crazy antics the next?!

Motherhood is tricky like that isn’t it?

I am SO glad that you loved this post from last week.

Your comments and personal messages relating to these August thoughts were so appreciated…and I am glad to know that last Saturday’s post offered you the soft place to land that you needed right now as you slow down to embrace the Fall season ahead.

Similarly to how I was feeling last week…

I am going to purposefully pause my writing for the next week or so, in order to savor our last few days of Summer, before the girls board that yellow school bus again and step into a new season of learning and growing up.

Which leads me to the very first thing that I am loving right now.

1. I am loving & Savoring these last Summer days…

It’s quite a mash up of home decor, favorite joggers and fashion, books, music and strange but super simple hacks that have me smiling…and I think they will have that effect on you too!

In no particular order this is…

What I’m Loving Right Now –

2. I am loving this gorgeous new area rug.

This new area rug is from Target and is the perfect blend of all of my favorite colors. We ordered it in size 6’7″x9′ in order to be placed under my desk which is moving from it’s perch in the bay window to a new spot in the room. This accent rug was a little birthday treat to go along with my home office makeover that Shawn is currently smack in the middle of.

(Side note: Thank you for all of your super sweet birthday messages!! I read them all!! 42 feels super good so far!)

For now, I am going to keep you hanging on this little home office makeover…but here is a little hint of what we are working on that will be ready to reveal in the coming weeks.

The big DIY project has to do with this wall.

I can’t wait to share with you what this space looks like.

But in the meantime?

Know that I am loving this new Alanya Traditional machine washable rug. It has just the right amount of faded hue pattern for a soft and subtle grounding accent for my new home office!!

3. I am loving

Shawn bought me two sets of silicone wedding bands for my Birthday.

I love layering one wider band from this set –

with one skinnier braided band from this multi colored set.

I know you might find this hard to believe…but while Shawn was shopping for silicone wedding bands for me?

He shopped for himself too. 🙂

In his defense…you can’t beat these bands and the price!

He ordered himself this set for under $6!

4. I am loving these new floral semi-sheer curtain panels from Amazon

If you followed the blog last Summer, then you already know that I love to do a little room refreshing when we visit our beach place. Last Summer, Shawn hung shiplap on the largest wall of our beach place and we replaced old metal mini blinds with my favorite woven bamboo Roman shades.

This Summer, we took it easy and did more light decorating.

We hung these new floral curtains in our bedroom in our beach condo and they are PERFECT!

5. LOVING This Shoe Holder Hack for Medicine & First Aid Supplies

I have never seen this done before…

but the thought to organize our medicines (now that our children are older) just came to me earlier this Summer and it has worked so well!!

I feel like now is a good time to remind everyone that this little blog is a no judgement zone space! 🙂

Because I am about to show you nothing short of a MESS.

Are you ready?

Needless to say…our medicine storage situation was a DISASTER!

As it turned out, we already happened to have this clear, over the door, shoe storage holder on hand that was not being used.

I cut off the very bottom portion of it so that I could close the closet door…and voila!

So much better!

Now, I have freed up shelf space in our hall linen closet and I can easily SEE the medications, bandaids – you name it!

6. I am loving These Zella Live In Pocket Joggers.

I don’t know about you...

But I love an elastic waistband! 🙂

Therefore, I am always on the hunt for a perfect blend of comfort and chic in the form of favorite joggers.

These Zella joggers are my new FAVORITE joggers!!

They are SO comfy and soft.

Available in green, navy and black.

I ordered them in black, size small. (I am 5’7″)

7. I am Loving This Song

I can’t get enough of Katy Nichole’s new song.

Turn it up.

Roll the windows down.

Let the words become your personal prayer.

And then?

Send the link to someone else who needs to hear it.

8. I am loving Emily Giffin’s new book

I loved reading this book while we were on our beach vacation.

I had to force myself to slow down so I didn’t finish reading it in our first two days!! I have read every single one of Emily Giffin’s novels and every time I dread her stories to come to an end!! I love reading her books!

So good!!!

And last but NOT least?

Here’s one last love for the road…and it’s a pretty special one…

9. I LOVE seeing pictures in the sky…

The girls and I spotted this heart while taking our first bike ride on a new part of a trail, near our home.

And?

It was my birthday…and that heart cloud was hovering just above the cemetery where my brother, Steve is buried.

Coincidence?

I don’t believe in coincidence. 🙂

And just after we spotted the cloud heart in the sky?

We snapped this quick pic…before getting back on our bikes and pedaling home.

Because?

My heart was full of love and I wanted to remember this moment for a long time.
